The gap

Luxury has stopped designing interesting clothes for women like you.

For some women reading this, that's always been true. Off-the-rack clothes were never designed for your body, your context, your actual life.

For others, something more specific has shifted. The designer who understood you — who made clothes with genuine aesthetic complexity, without trend-coding or age-coding — has left. What's replaced them doesn't come close.

Either way you're in the same place. There is no off-the-rack answer. The question is what you do about it.

The women who come to Preview are not new to spending money on clothes. They are done with what that money has been getting them.

Kyoto Design Retreat
The real cost

Off-the-rack doesn't just cost money.

The hours scrolling, searching, walking through shops full of clothes you still don't want.

Alterations that can raise a hem but can't fix a cut.

The garment bought in panic for an occasion that needed planning months earlier.

Standards lowered until "that will do" becomes a choice — precisely when you're reaching your peak.

What Preview is

The workroom conversation. Online.

Most women arrive believing certain cuts simply don't work on their body. That belief gets blown apart in the workroom.

When a cut is made with your body as the reference point — by someone with the skill to make that assessment and that adjustment — anything can be made to work.

"The limitation was never your body. It was never cut for you."

Every decision that determines whether a garment works for you — cut, cloth, colour, fit, finish, cost — is made before it reaches the rack. Without you. Preview puts you back in the room where those decisions happen.

What you see in Preview

Six decisions. All yours.

Cut

Made with your body as the reference point, not the other way around. What's actually happening in the construction — and what changes when it's adjusted for you.

Cloth

You've been told beautiful fabrics aren't practical. That's the lie you've been sold. The natural fibres — silk, wool, linen — are both sensual to wear and genuinely functional. No creases. No constant dry cleaning. No sweat. No stink.

Colour

Choose the colours you love instead of picking the eyes out of seasonal trends that don't suit you. Build a colour logic into your long-term plan so every piece works together — with everything you already own and everything that's coming up.

KDR fabric detail
Fit

Not a sample size adjusted. A pattern built for your body, from your measurements, to your life.

Finish

The details that make a garment last and feel worth what you invested — inside and out.

Cost

Open book. See what you're actually investing in: high quality cloth, consultation, fitting and craft — not branding, marketing and celebrity hype. This is slow fashion.

The workbook

Better than a mood board. Three year plan.

The workbook turns wishing into a sequential plan with a budget and a rollout timeline.

What to order first — the piece that makes getting dressed feel easier and starts removing expensive guesses from your wardrobe. Not the most glamorous piece. The one that makes everything else work.

Excel workbook — commission sequence planner. Yours to keep and build on after the session.

Who this is actually for

You've been in a highly technical field your whole career. Your creativity has never been fully appreciated. That's precisely where we intersect.

STEM, corporate governance, mining, finance, law — you had to suppress the creative part of yourself to be exceptional at what you do. That doesn't work anymore.

Preview is different. You don't park your intelligence at the door. You bring it to the collaboration.

How we work

Direct conversation. Real collaboration.

You don't need to arrive knowing how to design a garment. Leave the design work to me. You get to make all the choices that matter.

The most important thing to know before we start: don't worry about saying the wrong thing. Don't worry if you don't have the language yet. Say it the best way you can and I'll help you build the language, the eye and the specificity from there.

We'll keep working until we're genuinely on the same page — not until you've said yes, but until the decision is clearly yours.

"A creative brain that thinks in systems, constraints, and process — in an industry that kept wanting the aesthetic without the methodology. When we meet, it tends to feel less like a consultation and more like a recognition."

What women notice

"The new frock had its first public outing last night — in the Great Hall at Parliament House for the black tie Prime Ministers Prizes for Science. I could not have been happier wearing it — and I got many positive comments from discerning women as well."

"I am so privileged to have Susan Dimasi in my corner. Sure, on the surface, it's about a wardrobe that's ready to go; if I have an important meeting or presentation, you can bet I'm in one of her amazing pieces."

Questions
Do I need to know anything about sewing or design?

No. Bring your love of cloth, colour and design — your experiences of what has and hasn't worked. We turn that into cuts and designs that function and delight.

What am I paying $99 to see that I can't see in a shop?

The decisions before the garment is finished. On the rack you see the result. In Preview you see what makes that result work — or not — for your body, your life and your budget. That's the part no shop shows you, because no shop has made it yet.

Will I be expected to order something on the day?

No. A piece that shouldn't be made yet is a useful finding. If that's where Preview lands, you leave knowing what needs to happen before money goes in. That's worth the session.

Custom or bespoke — where do I start?

Custom means taking a proven design and adjusting fabric, colour and aspects of the cut to suit you. Bespoke means designing something that doesn't exist yet. We almost always start with custom — it builds the shorthand that makes bespoke, when it comes, earn what it costs.

When is it? Is there a recording?

Preview is live on Thursday 29 October 2026, 8am – 9am AEDT. Yes — a recording will be sent to every registered attendee via their registered email address.

Venice Rubelli fabric

You want to be yourself.

You can't be yourself in clothes you didn't choose. You can't project that personal power in something you were handed and told to wear.

You've seen it on other women — senior women you respect — that unmistakable signal that radiates before they speak. Clothes that say: I know things you don't know.

That's not luck. That's more than style. That's clothes made specifically for them, in a room where they were making every decision about what they become.

This is slow fashion. This takes time. But it's the only way clothes ever become truly yours.
